What is a dni list?
DNI stands for Do Not Interact (List/If).This term or practice most likely came from Tumblr, however it's unknown where specifically.These are lists of someone's boundaries for who interacts with content they make or who interacts with the individual.Typically, a list will consist of basic criteria (explained in the other section) and age ranges, however extra boundaries are also frequently listed (no nsfw accounts, specific fandoms, people with specific opinions, etc.)People tend to forget that DNI goes both ways, so keep in mind that if you tell someone not to interact with you, you shouldn't interact either.It's important to respect DNIs. We may be online, but we are still people who deserve to have our bounderies respected.
WHAT COUNTS AS basic criteria?
Basic Criteria typically includes:Racists
Homophobes
Transphobes (INCLUDING transmeds, transcum, TERFS, Anti-MOGAI and transphobic detransitioners)
Political Extremists (Heavy gov support, pro life etc)
Pro-Contact Paraphiliacs (pedo, zoo, necro)
Nazis/Anti-Semitics
Ableists
Sexists/Misogynists
Against the persons religion (or lack thereof)
Proshippers/Darkshippers/Darkfiction
Endogenic systems (In DID/OSDD spaces)Many people have criteria outside these basics.
COmmon inaccurate info that is spread
Fujoshi/Fudanshi are NOT kinds of proshippers. These terms are joking/self depricating. They translate to "rotten girl/boy" and they mean women or men obsessed with BL (boy love) content.Proship means ANTI HARRASSMENT. If you're going to send death threats to literal children, GET THE TERMS RIGHT. The term you're looking for is darkshippers/darkfiction.Endogenic/Tulpa systems are not real. You need trauma to have DID or OSDD.Anti-contact paraphiles are NOT disgusting. Paraphilias tend to come from trauma or mental illness. Anti-contact KNOW IT'S WRONG and they DO NOT WANT TO HAVE THESE THOUGHTS. GETTING MAD WILL ONLY HURT THEM.HAVING SOMEONE ON YOUR DNI DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU ARE ALLOWED TO HARRASS THOSE ON IT. DNI GOES BOTH WAYS. IF THEY DON'T INTERACT WITH YOU, LEAVE THEM ALONE.
